Stuff Has Happened

Stuff like:
1. The boys starting soccer.
2. Luke starting piano.
3. Me turning 37..Corey cooking dinner, Clancey making me a floaty boat (for the tub??) out of styrofoam, sticks, and red thread, Lucas making me a purse!!-out of cutesy fabric sewn together by hand using red thread (and with a little pocket inside too).
4. Getting a haircut (think Carey Mulligan short) and a couple highlight colors thrown in to cover up the gray of my 37-year-oldness.
5. Clancey puking after doing taste experiments in homeschool.  It was fish oil. And I couldn't stop laughing!  (note: nobody should have fish oil in their fridge.  It's gross)
6. Me getting up 4 different times last night because a. Shilo the golden retriever with a broken ankle had to go pee and was whining.  Had to let him out. b. Copper the other dog was 2 inches from my face whining to go out (1/2 hour after I had let Shilo out..then back in) c. Cedar woke up with a start because "Lucas has a helicopter! It's in the blankets!  It's in the blankets!" and d. After letting Copper out..then in and laying back down for 10 minutes, she was back with more demands!  Outside again.  And it was raining.  I left her there.
(Why nobody in my family ever wakes up to care for such things has always been a great big ole mystery to me.  They say things like "Huh?  Wha?  I didn't hear you get up.  The dog was whining?  Huh?  Weird I didn't hear anything.")
7. I'm letting Cedar eat chocolate cake for breakfast because she fell asleep right before it was cake-eating time last night.  I just felt bad.
8. I have been laminating...a lot.  Bought a new laminator (Scotch brand $38.99 on Amazon) and it's awesome.  I want to laminate everything.  And I am at my "Lamination Station" often.
9. I have been doing a lot of cutting..with scissors.
10. Our transmission went out in our Tahoe. (crapfart)  But I am excited because:
11. I get to drive around town in our VW Vanagon Westfalia (with curtains!) and get to feel like a real homeschooling hippie momma!
12. There was a leak in the Vanagon and Corey fixed it.
13. Our microwave broke.  We bought a new/bigger one.  Yay!
14. Our oven broke and could have blown up Clancey.  The repairman came right away.  Fixed the scary thing and we have gotten to eat many a splendid thing which has come forth from it's oven-ness.
15. Cedar stood on the outside of a grocery cart at the store and it fell over on her.  She's okay.  (Holy frazzled mom day that was)
16. Our printer/copier/scanner went kaput!  So we bought a new one.  One must have a printer when one has things to print etc etc.
17. Spring is coming.
18. We've started our garden!
19. This morning..boys are doing chores, Corey is starting a fire (no..it's not too cold.  Just a bit nippy), Cedar is dancing, and I am right here as you see.  We are jamming to Black-Eyed-Peas!
20. It's March!  Daylight Savings started today.  I lost an hour of sleep.  Welp..more than that..cause of the dogs.  The computer time says 10:27, but my mind says it's only 9:27.  It'll be confusing for a bit.

In case you're wondering...Clancey is listening to Don Williams while doing his spelling. How wonderful is that?!

I was homeschooled for a few years in elementary school. It was the best. That's exciting that you're doing it too!
ps. Carey Mulligan's hair is ADORABLE! It would be perfect on you.
