Oh, I LOVE Books!!!

I get giddy knowing that I have some books coming in the mail soon. I look forward to having books of my own....to keep and look through as I please. I don't buy books much. I'm a library checker outer kind of girl, but if and when I do buy books, it is from a garage sale or a used bookstore or from the "used books" section on Amazon. These are the books I have ordered: Fearless Living by Rhonda Britton, The New Diary by Tristine Rainer, and Panning for Gold in the Kitchen Sink by Michael B Smith and Suzanne Greenberg. All of these books are interactive...meaning I have to carry on conversations with them. No..kidding. But they are helpful books to help me in my search for meaning and to help me be a better person and writer. Book #1 I saw at my friend Kim's house. Rhonda Britton is a life coach and I used to watch her on this wonderful self-help show called Starting Over So I asked..(in my not-so-tactic-way) "Hey! This book looks good! Can I borrow it?!" Oooh..says Kim. I can't. This book helped me so much and I have lots of notes and such. (I don't think I quoted her exactly..but you get the point). So I thought..AHA! It must be grand! #2 book I am getting because I collect books about writing (writing better, journaling promts etc.) and I don't have this one and it just looked nice and inspiring. #3 book I checked out years ago at the library in Tucson and it sparked lots of creativity in me and got me to writing a lot. It has been on my List Of Books to Buy for years. And since I've been in a mess of a writing slump for the past 2 or 3 years, I figured it was time to add this piece to my collection.

So, now that you know of the wonders I shall be receiving, you should also know that I went to Arizona a couple weeks ago and had a great time with family. Posts and pics will be up in no time. (at least by next week) Stay tuned.

I love books too! I can't wait to see the ones you're getting...I won't ask to borrow them, of course, but maybe you'll let me...touch them? Just once?? =)

I TOO have wanted that Rhonda Britton book...when I had my little "meeting" with Kim a while back (wow that was QUITE a while back) she brought that book...I don't know why I never got it, laziness I guess...but I've thought about it many times since talking with Kim about it....

I wish I had a love of books like you. I guess I would rather pick up those things on the floor and do laundry and run around like a chicken with my head cut off before I would sit down and read. By the end of the day I am ready to lay down and watch some kind of home improvement show on HGTV or House Hunters. It's so cute that you are so excited to get books. At least you are easy to figure out what to get for you for a birthday or something.
