When I was in the 3rd grade, instead of cookies or brownies for my school birthday celebration, I asked my sister-in-laws (they were married to my brothers already by the time I was 5) to bring fortune cookies. I just really love them.
They are so wonderful.
I have 2 favorite fortunes so far in my life. One was when Corey and I were dating. Or maybe we were barely married. (who the hell keeps track of their memories anymore? I sure don't) Anyways we were sitting at the restaurant and opened our fortunes. Mine (or his. who the hell knows) said: something like: "Whereever you go, there you will be." We laughed so hard our heads fell off. (hence my loss of exact memory facts) Another favorite came to me about 4 months ago, when Corey was away on a river trip, and I was feeling so sorry for myself and crap like that. It says: (as it is here with me today) "Avoid compulsively making things worse."
AHA!!!! And I believe this is the solution to everything!
Eating the cookies are not so much my thing. But recieving revelations are very much so.
Thank you chinese food. Thank you.
p.s.
the picture of fortune cookie up top says: "you will blog about this"

HA! The one about making things worse. I need one that says:
If you don't stop worrying, what you worry about will come true. So you better friggin' stop worrying.
