For Mama

I am in the process of creating a lovely flower garden.  It is in honor of my sweet mother who cherished the beauty of flowers, and loved nurturing them.  They flourished in her care.  I hope to have enough heart to bring this space her spirit. 

It's my first time planting bulbs, and I keep repeating the mantra "please come up please come up please grow."  I'm a bit scared they won't.   But as I've been prepping the soil and placing my "hopes" in the ground, I feel that maybe I have found a new niche. A passion..like my mom's. Perhaps a seed in me has been sown. 

My plan is to grow a forest of exquisite peace and color. It's a dream that sits in the corners of my days.  I can see it!

It will be a place of goodness.  It will be a sanctuary.
