Before I review bits and pieces of the last couple weeks, I should tell you that our family was in Arizona from November 8-December 26th. Corey's dad broke his back after falling off a ladder. Sheesh! I know! Almighty!! (he is doing well and recovering quickly thank goodness. No paralysis thank goodness. He's alive too!..which is good) so we packed up our bags and went down. Corey is helping out with their business while Grandpa heals up. So, that is a big reason for my long absence. Me and the kids are back to our Moab now, and even though I love my family in Az. and miss them very much, I must tell you that
.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HOME!!!!! And I LOVE being home. It is completely where my heart is. Sometimes it takes being away to make you realize how much you belong somewhere.
I have baked 10 loaves of bread and made 24 rolls. Woohoo! My first batches of bread ever, people. ...and completely by hand. They turned out delicious. I plan to make more this coming up week.
Going for drives down the river road.
Finished reading Fablehaven (book 1 in the series) together as a family. We loved it and can't wait to start book 2!
The manly men go out back and make fiyahs for no reason other than to go outside to burn things (mostly wood, but you know how that occasional random plastic object gets thrown in ever so often. You know.) while it is snowy and cold all around. (The middle boy we inherit sometimes from 3 houses down. He's Josh. And he's a good friend to my chillen)
Cedar helps Clancey make peanut butter cookies. (so sorry to say that they didn't turn out. The buzzer wasn't heard by anyone, and they burned) All were sad.
Corey was home for the first week we were back, then went back to Arizona to work. So we are missing him oh so ever so very very achingly much.
Love you Corey, my man!
Truly yours,
Wife
