Last night, in an effort to teach my son the power behind prayers, I did the dishes. Let me explain.... Off and on he kept coming up to me saying "I just don't feel like doing dishes tonight. I don't. Just not tonight. arghhh." (the boys do the dishes almost every evening) Okay, so..after coming to me one last time and saying that same line, (it just kept repeating within the span of 2 hours) I noticed that his face has scrunched up into this ball of pinched eyeballs and wrinkled cheeks. It looked like he was praying pretty dang hard. I then thought this thought: "Ah man. Look at that intensity and hopeful angst. I will tell him that I will do the dishes tonight." So I told him... Then said: "See! Your prayer was just answered! It works! It really works!"

I think that was a great service you did for your son. I went to a foster care class that talked about the 7 languages of love. By doing the dishes FOR him was one of the signs of love. Everyone feels love in different ways..by gifts, touching, service, praise, appreciation, etc. Did he buy the prayer answer??? You're a great mama Jenny. I admire you for how you choose to mother your kids. Great pics of Cedar at the park, by the way.
Coleen, you are so sweet. Thanks for being a reader of my blog and commenting as you do. I love it! I love hearing from you..my childhood friend. I think I've read that languages of love book. Maybe I'll check it out again.
I love this picture of the boys! We miss you guys! Josh doesnt have anybody to play with anymore!
