FearLESS (2nd Draft)

Today's top-on-the-list song is dedicated to Me.....
"Darlin, do not fear what you don't really know."

I'm not going to fear the wild river. I'm going to open my eyes and see and feel what I've never felt before! I admit, I've been a little worried. But I remember my mama always telling me- things are never as bad as you think they're going to be. And in fact, I agree! I find myself repeating this to others over and over as they tell me their own fears.

So here goes a brain switcharoo:
I imagine a beautiful canyon...a gorgeous/adventure-filled wild ride of about 100 river miles! I think it might be raining off and on. Who cares?! The river will be at it's highest for the year thus far. BIG. HUGE. VERY HUGE AND BIG. Waves very very very high and roaring. All the more carazay! I don't have a tank top with bra insert. I'll just pretend I'm on Survivor!! (but I'll make sure it's all smoothed over. ;)) My fabulous in-laws will be with me to hold my hand. Who knows? Maybe I'll be the one holding theirs. AND my husband is my guide, and he is a man you would want with you if you were in a foxhole surrounded by gunfire.
So who knows? Maybe I'll turn into a whitewater river fanatic. Maybe it will become "my thing". Ya nevah know. If not, that's okay too. I'll be able to say I did it.

Why have worries, when all they do is create mind drama?! I don't know. Face your fear and do it anyway!!!!!! Do it anyway!!!!!!!! Go.
