The Girl and the Neverending Night

Wow. What a night! Cedar didn't take a nap all day yesterday and went to sleep fabulously at 6:45 for the evening. (so we assumed) I thought I had it made. I had 3 new library books... and TV channels galore to peruse without distraction. Noooowah. She decided to awaken at 8:30 and stay awakened til 1:30am. Ay Em I say! This is our dialogue for 5 hours: boowuk, elmo boowuk, rock, muckaGink (Monsters Inc.), food, apple, yayy!, owange!, mowa? (more?), huh?, dolly, elmo, dolly, dolly (she had to have all 4 sitting with her), boowuk, hi, mama, hi, yay, nighnight (as she walked into the boys room of slumber waving to them).

I think there was more, but it just gets foggy for me. I was gritting my teeth and saying uuughhherrgh a lot because I was so dang tired!! I decided to put her in the car and drive around. I placed a beanie atop her Madusa-ness. (a stripey one that made her look like "Where's Waldo".) It pointed up at the top and her crazy fuzzy hair was sticking out all over the sides. Dada came in all glossy-eyed (he took some Tylenol PM...ew.) and she said "Kiss!" So with a kiss and a wave we were off. Long story short, she zonked and slept clear til 3:30 AY EM! Well, I let her whimper for a couple minutes then she was asleep til 7ish.

This morning consisted of her spilling the whole bigole box of goldfish on the kitchen floor then yelling "Baggggie!" And as I swept the ones up that went beyond the 3 second rule, it created a lovely, flowing mountain. She thought it was fun and meant just for her. "Yay!"

I have a sore throat this morning. Great. If Cedar wasn't so fleeping adorable, I would throw my eye daggers her way. Instead I'll just hug and squeeze the crap outa her! Yet again.. she can do no wrong.
