I have come to a point where having a daughter means more than just changing a baby's poopy diapers and waking up at 2am. Suddenly I find myself thinking about all the Disney movies I need to buy (Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Thumbelina), the My Little Ponies to be brushed, bubble gum fingernail polish, dress up clothes and pom poms, barretts, and stationary with cute little hearts and stars on it. I am realizing that I will be able to relate to this childs imaginary princess stories and songs more than I have been able to relate to cars and live toads of my boys'. It fills me with excitement and anticipation. It makes me wonder if I'll feel like I'm reliving my childhood all over again. I wonder if my old silly/goofy/giddy sense of humor will return more and more each and every day that I live with this precious girl. She brings me so much joy and goodness. I am grateful to have her...Grateful to have given birth to her naturally, without any drugs to interfere, and honored to be Cedar's Mom. I love you, my baby girl.

Being My Daughter's Mother

I remember our times at tonto village playing cards and jacks and going for walks and going on the big swing, building forts under your pool table, so many good times. Your gonna be a great role model for Cedar. I have so many childhood memories with you that I will always cherish. Thanks so much.
